Exclusive – A Toy Hobbyists Outing

What do you get when you have Toy Collectors, Collectible Toys & Cameras during Christmas?

A Toy Hobbyist Christmas Photo Shoot of course!

I got invited by Leon from "Open the Toy" (see links at end of article) to cover this casual outing on 20th December 2009.

This is also widely known as "Toy Art" in some parts of the world. The idea is to blend the toy (subject) into our real-world environment through clever manipulation of picture angles and selection of background. In short, bring the toy to life.

We gathered at Takashimaya before taking a walk down towards ION Orchard where the real action starts. Let the pictures do the talking for now.

So you get the idea now? This is yet another photography trend that is coming up strong with followings in Singapore. Shooting Toys.

And none other than the collectors themselves!

So if you are interested to join in the fun and be a Toy Photographer yourself, please contact the group at the links listed below.

All you need is a poseable toy figurine, a good camera with macro functions and determination to get good pictures and you are good to go.

*I got covered too. 🙂 by Leon.
