From now until the end of March, anyone wishing to make the most of this Lunar New Year Celebration Package can do so in the utmost luxury. With rates starting from USD 894++/room for a three night stay, romantic pampering will be taken to new heights atop the dramatic cliffs of the 77-hectare resort, located on Bali’s stunning south-western peninsula.

From the moment the chauffeur meets you at the airport and whisks you away to your cliff-top destination, you will enter a world of absolute sanctuary and seclusion. Thegolf and tennis facilities will help ensure all guests are looking their swim-suit best, but if ‘putting’ and ‘volleys’ require too much energy, the spa offers respite for those guests operating at slower speed.

About AYANA Resort and Spa

On 1 April, 2009, AYANA Resort and Spa Bali was launched as an independent hotel under the management of US-based West Paces Hotel Group. Named after a ‘place of refuge’ in Sanskrit, AYANA is perched on limestone cliffs up to 30 meters above the Indian Ocean near Jimbaran Bay on Bali’s south-western peninsula. The 77-hectare property enjoys majestic views and a secluded location across its 1.3 kilometer coastline, yet is just 15 minutes from Bali’s airport. The 368 guestrooms — comprising 290 rooms and suites, 77 one-bedroom and two-bedroom private villas, and one three-bedroom AYANA Villa for the ultimate in luxury villa accommodation — offer guests the best of both worlds: the seclusion and space of their own Balinese-style villa or room, and access to the facilities and services of a world-class hotel.

Resort highlights include the 22,000sqm Thermes Marins Thalasso spa with one of the world’s largest Aquatonic Seawater Therapy Pools and the Spa on the Rocks villas set amidst the Indian Ocean. The 13 dining venues include the new Rock Bar located on natural rock 14 meters above the ocean, and the ultra-chic Dava restaurant. There are five purpose-built wedding venues; the avant-garde Champa Garden for events of up to 5000 people; four freshwater swimming pools including a children’s pool; a salt-water, infinity-edged Ocean Beach Pool at the cliff’s base, accessed via an inclinator; an 18-hole golf putting course; tennis pavilion; jogging/cycling path; fitness center; children’s center; seven boutiques; comprehensive meeting facilities and high-tech business center; and resort-wide WIFI.

The Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards 2009

So it happened last night at Shangri-La Hotel, again.

261120092053.jpg picture by Viviobluerex

It’s the usual people, the usual fare, the usual talk and the usual motion.

Only the awards are unusual. Or rather, there are some Awards that are unexpectedly won by some unexpected agencies.

 251120092049.jpg picture by Viviobluerex

There are hints of a huge budget cut this year for organizing this award dinner, I shall not elaborate further here.

The winners can be viewed at www.ias.org.sg on Institute of Advertising Singapore’s website.

Before the dinner, I managed to find some time for an interview by AdLib Magazine’s Managing Editor Valerie Trevor.

Words Caused By Madness

Words Caused By Madness

Madness Part 1
abusive_husbands.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your family problems is neither my problems nor the company’s.

Your reasons are vaguely valid but professionally unacceptable.
Your repentance is not sincere until executed by actions.
Your apologies will soon be deemed as an irresponsible exit.

Madness Part 2
hell.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your company can go to hell, glad my name is out of the directorship.
Your debts owing to me are $20,523.53, NOT $10,000.00.
Your reasons are stupidly invalid.
Your doom is caused by your ineffectiveness and lack of knowledge for business.

Madness Part 3
stingy.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your hard wares have been there since 1991, don’t expect us to pay for replacement.
Your way of dealing with contractors is wrong, expect partnership, not dictatorship.
Your policy of saving costs does not dictate how I run my company.
Your requests have always been met, enough said.

Madness Part 4
stupid.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your stupidity will lead you nowhere.
Your idea is outdated and expired.
Your doings will not bring you new business.
Your stubborn way of doing business will be your own doom.

Madness Part 5
Indecisive.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your late submission of artwork is YOUR fault.
Your selection of site is YOUR choice, not ours.

Your lack of raw materials is YOUR problem.
Your designer sucks. You use him and that is YOUR pick.

Madness Part 6
lemoncar.jpg picture by Viviobluerex
Your COE LEMON car is the result of your choice.
Your constant repairs are expected so why complain.
Your choose. My car or that Lemon. You Picked the Latter.
Your regrets are noted, however, it’s too late.

Royal Caribbean – Legend of the Seas

16th November 2009 marks the arrival of Legend of the Seas, a luxury cruise liner from Royal Caribbean International.

This starts the Asia year-round deployment of this ship in Singapore.

I got invited to the ship tour with the media entourage.

As usual, I started snapping pictures. Having boarded most of the cruise ships that docks in Singapore, the Legend is incredibly one of its kind.

No details were left out, from the lushfully decorated interior to the various facilities on board, there are so much to do, so much to be entertained and remained entertained. From a miniature golf course to a wall-climbing wall, from a child care centre to a beauty centre, you name it, Legend have it. Did I also mention that there is a shopping belt too?

I was personally impressed with the library, well stocked with hardbacks and the general overall feel of the ship.

We were treated to a nice dinner on board at their fine-dinning restaurant.

Everything was just so ……… perfect.

You should cruise on the Legend at least once in your lifetime.
